Counselling & Coaching via zoom or face to face in Bournemouth
We all experience loss during our lives. It might be:
I could go on, there are so many different experiences that cause us to grieve.
Sometimes, we can adapt to loss ourselves. We feel the sadness (or other complicated emotions) then find a way to move forward.
Sometimes the loss is so significant it is hard to see how recovery can come. Or maybe we don't even want recovery because we can't imagine a life without the person or thing we have lost.
Perhaps life goes on but we are numb and don't feel fully part of it. Or we throw ourselves into a new life, keeping the lid shut tight on our feelings, knowing they are still there even when we want to ignore them.
We all grieve differently after a loss. Loss changes us. We don't forget the person who has died or the sadness of not being a parent. There may still be disappointment about opportunities missed. But alongside that, it is possible to move forward, to rebuild, to live again.
I can help you through the difficult times of your grieving and, when you are ready, I can support you to rebuild your life and move onwards towards new experiences and choices.

Kath helped me so much when I was burnt out with teaching but just couldn’t see a way to do anything different. Now I am working for myself and am happier, with so much more energy. It was my conversations with Kath that enabled me to take the plunge and make that change.
For me, the biggest difference was having someone who encouraged me and helped me identify the positives rather than just focussing on the negatives.

Working with Kath has been transformational. She provided guidance, support and the right questions to build my confidence and foster personal/professional growth
Working with Kath, I have managed to unpack different aspects of my life, including grief, relationship dynamics, personal boundaries, healthy and unhealthy coping skills. Working on these aspects has led to me making better decisions for myself, helped me understand myself better and feel more confident in myself. I always feel a sense of calm and clarity when I leave the session with Kath.
Kath was a warm, kind and open presence during a very difficult period of my life. Many things felt outside of my control, and our weekly meetings became something steady that I could hold on to. Some sessions were about reflecting and finding perspective, and other days it was simply about having the space to express my emotions and be listened to without judgment. I’m very grateful for Kath’s calm, compassionate approach
